General Hotel Policy
GUARANTEE POLICY
All reservations must be guaranteed either by a valid credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD) or by Cash prepayment. Bookings made on our website are effective after collecting the booking fees on the credit card. If the card is declined, the hotel may automatically cancel this reservation. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize the credit card prior to arrival
ROOM DEPOSIT FOR INCIDENTAL CHARGES (upon check-in)
Room access is granted with a $100/day Incidental Deposit (covered with Credit Card or cash) which is required for check-in. This amount will be used to cover bar, restaurant, massage and other services requested by the client and billed to the room. This amount will be refunded upon departure after verification of the room, minibar and deduction of consumption and service bills, if applicable. It is advisable to the customer to claim his receipt for each requested service and which has been charged on his room
NON-LIABILITY DISCLOSURE
The hotel declines any liability in case of loss of material, valuables or others in rooms and all public places. Safety boxes are provided free of charge in every room. Keys are available at the Front Desk and subject to a $20 US fee if lost. Please make sure your door is locked when you leave your room
PET POLICY
In order to respect every one’s privacy, pets are not allowed in any part of our premises, irrespective of size or breed. The hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodations to anyone with a pet.
IN ROOM DINING
Food service is not offered in rooms.
WRISTBAND
A non-allergic access wristband is provided upon entering the premises in order to enhance your stay and the overall security of the premises. Wearing the wristband is mandatory. The hotel reserves the right to refuse access to non-complying guests. No reimbursements are issued in these situations.
CONNECTING ROOMS
For security reasons, connecting rooms are no longer available. We will try to accommodate you in rooms of the same floor or near each other.
CHECK-IN / OUT POLICY
- Check in: from 3:00 pm
- Check out: no later than 1:00 pm
- Early check-in: subject to room availability.
UNAUTHORIZED LATE CHECK OUT POLICY
Late check-out is subject to room availability
- 1:00 to 3:00 check-out: 50% room rate surcharge
- After 3:00 check-out: 100% room rate surcharge
RATES POLICY
Rates are subject to an additional 10% of Service Energy surcharge and 10% of government tax (TCA)
CHILDREN POLICY
- Child under 5-year old: free of charge
- Child from 5-year old to under 11-year old: surcharge $24 US/ child / room/night. Max. 2 of children in room (Taxes included)
- Child from 11-year old or extra Adult: surcharge $48 US /person/room/night. (Taxes included)
ROLLAWAY BEDS
Rollaway beds can be accommodated in all room categories, except for Bungalows, at an additional $18 US per room, per night (non- inclusive of breakfast and subject to availability).
SMOKING POLICY
Smoking in not allowed in any of our rooms. A $500 US cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates our non-smoking policy.
OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGE
Due to security reasons, no outside food or beverage of any kind may be brought into the hotel. The hotel is the only licensed authority to sell and serve liquor for consumption on the premises. Coolers are not allowed.
The hotel declines any liability for the quality or price of snacks sold by local vendors on the beach.
LOST & FOUND POLICY
In-room safes are provided in every guest room and are to be used to store valuable items. Please be advised that the lost and found item will be stored for 30 days at the property. Any items left in or next to the garbage bins are considered refused and will be discarded. Guests are encouraged to avoid confusion by placing all items in the drawers and cabinets provided, or in their luggage.

FIREARM POLICY
The Administration of Moulin Sur Mer prohibits persons from carrying a firearm on hotel property, including carrying firearms in an open or concealed manner. The hotel reserves the right to request guests and visitors who fail to abide by this policy to leave the hotel premises. Failure to leave at the request of the Hotel may result in the Police Department being contacted, and may subject you to further legal action for failure to abide by this policy, including trespass.
Exempted from this policy are law enforcement officers and who are on duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. Prior authorization from the administration is however required. Civilians, even those who are licensed and permitted to carry a firearm openly are not exempt.
NOISE
To ensure comfortable and enjoyable stay to all our guests, we ask you to be respectful and limit excessive noise between the hours of 10:00PM to 7:00AM. If a persistent disturbance complaint is filed with our reception as a result of a party or noise originating from a guest room or nearby room facilities, all non-complying guests will be asked to leave the premises, without a refund.
PORTABLE SOUND SYSTEMS
To ensure comfortable and enjoyable stay to all our guests and visitors, Portable sound systems are not allowed at the hotel and on the beach
INCIDENT, COMPLAINTS or COMMENTS
We take our guest satisfaction and comments very seriously. It is recommended that any incident, complaint or comment that becomes a nuisance to your stay, be brought up to our Lodging Manager at the earliest. We will intend every action to resolve it as swiftly as we possibly can.
